After many months of sweat, tears, and blood, I was able to finish the three stockings I set out to finish. Megan was amazing and sewed on all of the sequins for the stockings, I put them together and Mom put on the finishing touches! They turned out wonderful. Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to flip the photos, but there they are. All finished and Jenn and Jon loved them!! I was so excited to see how excited they were!!

New York Puzzle
Finally and I mean finally after many many months of sitting on our counter, I have finally gotten a frame for my New York puzzle that I glued together! I didn't quite fit, but I cut the sides of the puzzle and if fits perfectly!! Jacque helped me put all the up onto the wall and they look great!! I really like how they all turned out!
Annie Hall
I rented Annie Hall from the AFI best 100 list. I haven't found many movies yet from the list that I have liked. Annie Hall was very interesting!! Not my favorite, but it did win some big movie awards. Hopefully the next one will be better!!

Sassy Girls Book Club
I started the book club. We are going to start meeting every other month and our first meeting is next Tuesday at our place. I'm naming us the Sassy Girl's Book Club. Our first book we are reading is The Art of Racing in the Rain. It has been a pretty good book! It is really sad, but I'm interested to see what happens in the end. I'm going to try and find some good questions from the internet to talk about and we might even already have our next book to read. We are on a roll. We even have 5 members so far. If we have six and meet every other month then we could meet at someone different's house every other month.
Vertigo
Sooooo...I was at Nicole and Jon's this weekend and we watched one of the movies on the AFI list!! We watched Vertigo. Probably not my favorite movie, but it was interesting. James Stewart from It's a Wonderful Life was the lead and I could listen to him all day long. I just love his voice. Other than that, I wasn't overly impressed. I was talking with my mom about the movie and she had been to the monastery that was in the movie, so we got some fun facts about it!! Kinda fun movie trivia....I'm going to have to start busting out more things on my list in order to stay on track!! This weekend I'm going to try and watch another movie on the list and maybe mark off something else on the list!!

Updates
So the last month or so has been pretty!! I haven't completed a whole lot on the list but I have done some small things to get closer to marking off a few of the items on my list. Here's what I've been up to! I went to a new restaurant when Kara was in town called The Screen Door! It is all Southern Country eating everything from Fried Chicken and Cornbread to Grits!! I had a really yummy cheeseburger!! I finished my practice project for knitting and Elaine has so kindly given me smaller needles (my old ones were huge!!). I'm now in the process of making a proper washcloth. Cross your fingers it turns out just wonderful. Jacque and I started watching Bull Durham from the AFI list. Can you believe Jacque has never seen it?? I fell asleep, but I figure since I've seen it, I can mark it off. I'm on stocking #2 and getting closer to being finished and Megan has so kindly put sequins on stocking #3, so my goal of getting them finished by Thanksgiving is looking pretty good. I did get an online scrapbook done (well maybe the unemployed Nicole did for me), I just need to get it ordered!! Yippee!! I will post pictures soon and work on updating more regularly!!!

Knitting
So, while we were up at the Lakes last week I practiced my knitting. I even learned to purl. I'm getting much better and Elaine Cleghorn said I can move from my kindergarten needles to 4th grade needles. Right now my knitting project is supposed to be a dish wash cloth, but because of the size of my needles it is now going to be a car wash cloth. My car will be sparkly clean when I get to use it. Once I get started with the smaller needles, I will make my own dish wash cloth!!
Fray Check
I bought my fray check this morning. Now I won't have to borrow Grandma Cleghorn's. Once I finish each set of napkins I'm making, to make sure the corners don't come unravelled I will need to apply to fray check to each corner. Check that one off my list!!
Bonnie & Clyde and Goodfellows
I've started watching the AFI list I picked. Wow there are a lot of movies on that list. 100 to be exact. We have started in the Ganster category, but will probably skip around. We have started (when we can) Sunday movie night!! We watched Bonnie & Clyde and Goodfellows. Man, they are some bloody movies. I didn't like the ending of Bonnie & Clyde, they should have died in the big shootout, but it went on after that and kinda dragged on. I did like Goodfellows, but like a typical ganster movie, it was a little bloody for my liking. I will keep you updated on the next movies I will be watching. My girlfriends and I might start watching some of the romantic comedies to knock some of them off the list.
Trying out my new wakeboard
So we went up to the lake last week for our annual trip with the Cleghorns!! I got to finally use my new wakeboard. I was able to get up right away and by the end of the week I was jumping in and out of the wake. Something I have never been very comfortable doing. It is amazing how light my board was. I learned to wakeboard on a guy's board and they have always been so heavy. What a fun thing to check off my list!!

Riding a Mechanical Bull
So, on Thursday, July 9, 2009 me, Megan, Nicole, Jon and Brian went out to the New Copper Penny to see our band the Concrete Cowboys play, but of course they weren't there, again!! So we stayed for a few drinks and maybe ride the mec
hanical bull. I've only ridden a mechanical bull once before at Linfield, so that didn't really count. To get us going Jon got on, then I rode and so did Megan and Nicole. I'm glad they were there to support me on this one!! And then I fell off!!!

Freezer Jam
So on Saturday I s
tarted my list of 101 things I want to do in 1001 days. I made Freezer Jam!! I thought it was going to be a hard one, but Jen reassured me that it was not difficult. So, I set
out to Safeway on Saturda
y and picked up my Pektin, sugar, and glass jars. I made it home and wanted to get started, but I forgot to buy the st
rawberries. I headed back to the store to pick up my strawberries!! I got back to my house, washed out my jars and got started on the jam. I followed the step-by-step directions, cut up the strawberries, mashed them and mixed them with the sugar. This is my finished jars!! I wonder what they taste like and I can't believe how easy they were to make. So, this was my first post with pictures, hopefully it will look better as I go along.

101 Things I Want to do in 1001 Days
I saw this activity on a blog I stumbled upon and thought it was an amazing idea. So, by my 30th Birthday (March 2011), I will have completed my list of 101 Things I Want to do in 1001 Days. I have divided it into categories, but each category does not necessarily have the same number of activities in it. Some are big and some are not so big.
